Service
It is not possible to restore the original version after a firmware upgrade.
Yes, a USB driver is required to program DMR and TETRA radios.
The CPS has been tested under the following operating systems:
• Windows XP/2000 (32 bit)
• Windows Vista (32 bit)
• Windows 7 (32 & 64 bit)
• Windows 8.1 (64 bit)
• Windows 10 (32 & 64 bit)
These noises or tones often mean that the radio has not been programmed properly. It can mean that the configured frequency is not supported by the radio in question. In this case, please check your configuration or contact your authorized Hytera dealer or one of our certified service partners.
You must install the USB driver, which is required for programming your radio. You can obtain the USB driver from your authorized Hytera dealer or from our certified service partners.
The minimum spacing between transmitting and receiving frequency is 1.25 MHz.

Ni-MH batteries are designed for 500 standard charge and discharge cycles. A lithium-ion battery is designed for approx. 1000 cycles.
Replace your old batteries once they have reached the end of their service life in order to maintain the performance of your radio.

Hytera mainly offers lithium-ion batteries for its radios. Nickel-metal hydride batteries are also available for some models.
Short antennas are designed to allow convenient carrying of the radio. Longer antennas allow for longer ranges. The antenna which is right for you depends on the particular application and the range you require.
In the DMR protocol, two timeslots are available within the 12.5-kHz channel, which can be used as audio or data channels.
A quick text message can contain up to 256 characters (DMR Tier II). Radios of the PD3 series allow up to 63 characters.
The achievable communication range depends on various factors:
- Environment: The range reduces in between high buildings or in built-up areas.
- Weather: The range can also deteriorate on rainy days.
- Power: If the transmitting power of the radio is low, a long range cannot be expected.
"DMR" is the abbreviation for Digital Mobile Radio and describes a digital radio protocol which is based on the TDMA method (Time Division Multiple Frequency).
If you have dropped your radio into water, proceed as follows:
1. Take the radio out of the water.
2. Remove the battery.
3. Put the radio in a well-ventilated area so that it can dry out quickly.
4. If the radio no longer works properly after it has dried out, please contact your authorized Hytera dealer directly or one of our certified service partners.
Some Hytera radios are protected against water penetration to IP67. This means that they can be submersed in water to a depth of one meter for at least 30 minutes.
You can find out about the moisture protection of your radio on the corresponding product site or in your manual.
It is possible that the audio plug of your accessory is defective or not properly connected to your terminal.

If the battery of the radio is charged, check the battery contacts. If the contacts are defective, please contact your authorized Hytera dealer or one of our certified service partners.
Check the antenna and make sure that it is in good condition. Also check the antenna connection in case it might be damaged or loose. If you find damage on the antenna, the antenna must be replaced.
This symptom can occur if the radio is used on the boundaries of the radio coverage or if the radio is used in areas where the radio signal is interrupted or blocked. However, if the radio is being used in areas where the radio coverage is normally good and where you do not expect any malfunction, please contact your system administrator or your authorized Hytera dealer for further assistance.
Check whether the microphone might be blocked.
It may be that the display is no longer working properly after a fall or improper use. Please contact your authorized Hytera dealer or one of our certified service partners.
