      The MD785i DMR mobile radio offers versatile digital functions that allow you to exchange information in all situations. Compared to the MD785, the MD785i has significantly improved performance. Its further developed technology increases both the range and the reliability.

      Higher sensitivity and frequency stability

      Compared to the MD785, the MD785i has significantly improved performance. Its further developed technology increases both the range and the reliability.

      Optimized GPS protocol

      To accelerate the determination of the location of radios, the way the radio sends its GPS position has been significantly improved. As a result, more GPS information than before can be sent to the control center via a timeslot, provided only position data are required.

      Communication via the accessory port

      Users can access the option board using the application CPS (Customer Programming Software) to transfer data to external devices.

      Communication using "wireless link"

      The mobile radios can be connected to repeaters using a special UART cable to provide a "wireless link" for the transfer of digital services (voice, data or signaling). This function can be used in scenarios in which IP multi-site connection is not available due to Internet connection restrictions and the repeaters are connected wirelessly to expand the communications coverage.

      Over the Air Encryption

      Encryption of the signaling protects against unauthorized access to the repeater and interception of the connection data using a DMR scanner.

      Dual mode

      The MD785i features an analog as well as a digital mode and is compatible with the currently used analogue systems, thereby simplifying your transition into the digital age.

      Improved utilization of the frequency spectrum

      Thanks to the TDMA process, the MD785i enables you to assign the available bandwidth with double number of channels. This has a clear mitigating effect on increasing spectrum scarcity.

      Digital encryption

      Encryption using encryption algorithm ARC4 (40 bit) in accordance with DMRA or optional algorithms AES128 and AES256 (128 and 256 bit) ensures secure communication.

      Reliability and quality

      The MD785i complies with the standards MIL-STD-810 C/D/E/F/G and meets the IP54 degree of protection. A high degree of reliability is assured even in harsh environments.

      Expansion interface

      Thanks to the expansion interface, the range of functions offered by the MD785i can be expanded by significant key functions. Accessories and applications developed by partners can be connected to this interface.

      Intuitive interface and key guidance

      The high-resolution LCD screen offers a clear display, even under difficult light conditions. The large keyboard and ergonomic programmable keys allow an efficient and productive communication.

      Upgradeable software

      Upgradeable software enables the possibility of new features. By altering the firmware-software, other digital and analog operating modes can be enabled, without the need for purchasing a new radio device.

      Versatile voice communication

      Thanks to digital signal transmission, the MD785i allows you to carry out different types of voice communication, including individual calls, group calls and simultaneous communication with all subscribers.


      The MD785i allows automatic cell re-selection (roaming) at all sites in multi-site systems.

      Supplementary services

      With the MD785i, you can utilize various services, such as radio check, remote monitor and call alert.

      Various analog signaling types

      Using the MD785i you can use, for example, selective calls, 2-tone and 5-tone dialing, HDC1200 as well as CTCSS / CDCSS.
