On August 8, a devastating magnitude-7.0 earthquake struck Jiuzhaigou National Park in Sichuan province, China. In the post-disaster rescue operation, a Hytera team was among the first reaching the disaster area and joining the operation to provide emergency radio communications for the professional rescue taskforces and guarantee 24-hour support on site.

Hytera Communications Corporation Limited filed a lawsuit against Chicago, Ill.-based Motorola Solutions, Inc. in federal district court in Cleveland, Ohio, charging that Motorola Solutions is infringing Hytera's U.S. Patent No. 9,183,846, which covers its industry-leading sound adjustment control technology.

Hytera Communications Corporation Limited has won a verdict, where Changsha Intermediate People's Court of Hunan Province ruled that Quanzhou TYT Electronics Co., Ltd. infringed Hytera's trademark by adopting the brand name "Tytera" for its products and promoting relevant products in the market.
