Hytera Mobilfunk: Strength in working together
At the PMRExpo it wasn't just the latest products and PMR solutions that Hytera Mobilfunk GmbH presented to its professional public. The foremost European trade fair for professional mobile radio also provided an excellent opportunity to cultivate existing contacts and make new ones discussing with them current PMR sector topics. Within the industry sector Hytera Mobilfunk enjoys an excellent network and plays a leading role in the association work undertaken by the PMeV, the Federal Association of Professional Mobile Radio and the promotional supporter of PMRExpo. That is why the Managing Director of PMeV, Uwe Jakob, and Tony Gray, Managing Director of the TETRA and Critical Communications Association (TCCA), take advantage of the exhibition in Cologne to meet the Hytera team at a face-to-face meeting.
Since it was established Hytera Mobilfunk has been an active member of PMeV. Since 2007 Bernhard Klinger, Vice President Business Development, has headed the Broadband applications section at PMeV. Broadband is THE topic of the future in the PMR sector so of course it is also of great importance to the Bad Münder-based company. At the beginning of 2015 Hytera Mobilfunk, with Bernhard Klinger as deputy Chairman of the Management Board, took on even greater responsibility within the Association. As head of the broadband section he is also the contact point with Government ministries, local authorities and organisations, as well as with industry for issues relating to mobile broadband communications in professional mobile radio.
"As a German Association it is important to the PMeV to maintain and expand our contacts with international organisations and interest groups," said Bernhard Klinger, who welcomed the managing director of the TCCA to the Hytera stand, taking him on a tour of the stand. "That's why I am delighted that Tony Gray has visited us and that we could discuss issues - ongoing topics as well as the issues of the future."
Furthermore, in Markus Oltmanns, head of Marketing & Communication, a second Hytera representative is now a member of the PMRExpo advisory board, which each year plays a considerable role in organising the trade fair. For example, the advisory board organises the framework programme for the event, with seminars, workshops and professional forums. The experts from Hytera Mobilfunk are regularly asked to help: This year alone four Hytera experts - Hauke Holm, Vice President R&D & Product Management, Senior Project Manager Matthias Kreipe, Michael Fertig, Sales Director D-A-CH and marketing expert Markus Oltmanns - took part in the seminar programme.

... that the founder and long-standing director of our company, Heinz Bick, was a founding member of the PMeV with R&S Bick Mobilfunk GmbH, and went on to lead the association for a decade as Chairman of the Management Board? The association was established on 23 July 1999 in Berlin by representatives of a total of seven companies. The association now has over 60 members and is subdivided into seven specialist departments. Heinz Bick was made an honorary member of the PMeV in 2009.
