We act on a global basis. Installations throughout the world and in all climatic regions, from small systems to nationwide networks, all attest to the flexibility and reliability of our TETRA system ACCESSNET-T IP. We provide comprehensive business services. Besides the delivery of own base stations and system controller nodes, it includes network planning, project processing, location planning, commissioning, training, network optimizations and customer service.
Research and Development
As a competence center for TETRA infrastructure development and TETRA solutions within the Hytera Group, we are continuously advancing the development of our ACCESSNET-T IP Radio System. With this, we rely on the experience of our development team and on the fresh perspective of our highly qualified junior staff.
There from the Beginning
Our company already had a competent and active roll in the development of the TETRA Standard. In cooperation with the European Telecommunications Standards Institute (ETSI), Hytera Mobilfunk has significantly influenced the introduction of user-friendly and cutting-edge radio communications solutions. As it was a logical step, we became a Member of the TCCA (formerly TETRA MoU) in order to strengthen the company's expertise and market position.
Hardware and Software from a Single Source
To ensure the high quality of the comprehensive functional scope of ACCESSNET T IP, we develop both hardware and software components of our system ourself. Development takes place through a clearly process-oriented method so that we can ensure that, for example, newly developed features comply with requirements that were previously defined and problems are solved before they can occur. The development process is complemented by extensive system testing, so that, where possible, errors can be eliminated even before the first release of a software version. Certification according to ISO 9001:2008 confirms the implementation of defined processes in our company.
Radio network planning
The functional requirements for a mobile radio network encompass numerous requirements on a complex system technology. This is centred on reliable radio coverage for radio subscribers through their terminals. Comprehensive radio network planning creates the basis for a radio network in advance, which ensures that voice and radio data transmission are possible at any given time and everywhere with optimum coverage quality.
Requirements on radio network planning:
- Which coverage area is the radio network to cover?
- Which special features does the intended coverage area have in terms of topology, vegetation, building development and utilization?
- Can sites for base stations be chosen at random or will given buildings and pieces of land need to be used?
- Which type of terminals such as handheld stations or built-in vehicle devices shall be used?
- How large is the volume of data traffic for voice and radio data transmission?
- Which call types and features are to be supported and used?
All the previously-mentioned starting conditions and influencing variables are taken into consideration during the radio network planning process for configuration of the air interface.
Current, high-resolution 3D map material is the basis on which we position our base stations in the required coverage area, thereby helping us to ensure that reliable radio coverage is given across the entire system. We take the number of users, their distribution and their movement into consideration as part of a detailed traffic model for the planned radio network.
Similarly, the type of required terminals, the required call types and the features for the radio system are all incorporated into the planning phase. Our experienced radio network planning team use specific planning tools for each radio system, to ensure that all the requirements pertaining to the sought-after solution are taken into consideration, while also helping to define the optimum network infrastructure. This means that we can calculate and document the coverage quality of the radio network before installation with the greatest degree of precision.
Radio network planning provides a solid basis for the remaining system planning process, which in turn completes our mobile radio network system through redundancy configuration, external network connection and IT systems, dispatcher systems, and additional system technology.

Integrate a new mobile radio system or modify an existing one because requirements have changed: In other words, companies and institutions can afford this in addition to their daily activities under their own power. Mobile radio networks are complex products, both in terms of technology as well as in terms of logistics. The design and installation of TETRA networks requires coordination from multiple experts from different fields. In order to ensure smooth implementation and on-time commissioning, all phases of a project are tightly controlled. Quality Gates ensure that all the requirements of a project phase are fulfilled and the following phases can be launched right on time.
From procurement and production to system design and configuration, installation and test runs up to the start of the actual system operation, all phases with their specific requirements are fully defined and monitored accordingly. Project management for this is flexible in order, for example, to allow for subsequent modifications or special customer requests.
Transparent reporting reveals any potential risks to the project schedule early on and allows for quick and targeted responses through suitable measures in consultation with the customer.
